“The rooftop, again?” Asked
Sherlock. “Does it matter? They're all so boring” chimed Jim.
“But this time I'm going explain how
you did it.”
Sherlock paused
Jim continued “Oh, I know the TARDIS
came for you, grabbed you in mid fall and tossed your dead body out.”
“You never said where the body came from” - Sherlock retorted.
“Does it matter? You have a time machine, it could have come from
any time. Tsk Tsk Sherlock. I don't care about details. Not when I
have a bigger game.”
Sherlock paused to make a phonecall
“Are you getting this?”
Jim walked to the corner of the roof
where he noticed the gravel had a slight indentation on it. “Except
when details matter” He made a fist and smashed it against an
invisible wall. “Of course they are, it's all part of the story.”
“Now how do you want the world to end
Sherlock? I've got so many plans in the works.”
Sherlock made a quick almost prayerful
gesture. Cas appeared. “You think I came because you called?”
Sherlock rolled his eyes. “No, I knew you were there anyway.
Behind the air conditioner. You forget you have a shadow now.”
Cas stared blankly. He still wasn't entirely used to being human
most of the time.
“Oh, you're little friend has joined
us?” said Jim, almost mockingly. Cas was angry “Don't forget I
saved you too.” “From who?” Said Jim.
Crowley joined them from the rooftop.
Nobody saw where he came from. “Oh right,” “Demons” Jim's
eyes went black and he shook slightly. Cas reached out again and
brought him back from the edge.
“Now where was I?” Jim asked. “The
end of the world” Cas pointed out.
“Sorry, I do forget myself when he
does that” Jim sighed and frowned melodramatically. “But it's
all part of the Game isn't it?”
Sherlock turned on Cas. “What has he
done?” “Oh, he doesn't know” Crowley shot back. “We have a
little agreement worked out.” Sherlock was angry. “Can't you
see what's going on here?”
The crew of the TARDIS caught a feed of
the news from a few days away. Sherlocks phone rang, it was a somber
Toccata in D.
“Agent Juliet to Agent Romeo –
Another Nightmare :(”
He scanned the contents quickly and
forwarded the intercepted email to River and Watson.
Sherlock looked over at Jim. Jim smiled
– “Oh, it's no fun if I don't give you a little clue”
